After half an decade land ministry has taken initiatives to increase the fees including tax and land ministry. According to the new proposal, land development tax will increase twice. Other fees will be increased to two and a half times to three times.
The eight-member committee headed by the Ministry of Land recommends increasing these taxes and fees. The committee also gave the opinion that taxes and fees should be rescheduled after every five years. In 1995, Land Ministry appointed the latest tax and fees. Ministry officials say, the fees paid by the government in various sectors, including Namazari, Dakhilah, Jabeda, and the common people have to give him a few times as bribe.
An official of the ministry's budget section said that they are more expensive than their income. At present, the Land Ministry's annual income is around 500 crore taka. But the cost is around six hundred million taka.
The concerned officials of the ministry say that the Ministry of Land took initiative to increase the taxes and fees in the last part of the grand alliance government. But because of the Jatiya Sangsad elections, the initiative was kept in the last moment. After the new government took office, the ministry has started work on the matter again.
Asked about the land minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif said in the first light, the Ministry has been working on the matter since long ago. Now reviewing the necessary steps will be taken.
Agriculture tax increase will double: land development tax will not be payable for 25 bighas (8.25 acres) for agricultural land. From now on till 10 acres, land development tax is now 50 paisa per hundred paisa, it has been proposed to set one penny. In addition, 10 acres more than one rupee per one thousand rupees. It will be increased to two paisa.
Industrial-land tax is increasing: Dhaka, Chittagong, Narayanganj and Gazipur City Corporation areas are required to pay tax of Tk 125 per hundred for the land used for industrial and commercial purposes. It has been proposed to increase to 300 rupees. The committee has proposed raising the amount of residential land tax from Tk 22 to Tk 60 for these four city corporation areas.
Apart from this, the taxes of industrial-commercial land in Ruposhan upazila sadar and Sitakunda and Rangunia upazilas of Chittagong city, Keraniganj, Savar and Dhamrai municipal areas, Narayanganj and Tk. It will be increased to 250 rupees. Residential land tax of the same area has been increased from Tk 22 to Tk 50.
Taxes are increased from 125 rupees per hundred rupees to 200. Taxes of industrial and commercial land in several municipal and upazila areas These are municipal areas of Mymensingh, Tangail, Faridpur, Noakhali, Pabna, Bogra, Dinajpur, Kushtia, Jessore and Patuakhali zilla sadar, Sreepur of Gazipur, municipal areas of Kaliakair and Kaliganj upazilas, municipal areas of Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh, Chaumuhani and Sunaimudi municipal areas of Noakhali and Begumganj Upazila Sadar area and Fultala Upazila area of ​​Khulna district.
Land tax used for industrial and commercial purposes in other areas of the country will be fixed from Tk 22 to Tk 100 and residential land will be charged from Tk 7 to Tk 20. It has been proposed to increase the rate of tax from Tk 15 to Tk 50 per year in areas where the municipal area was not declared.
Registration and Record Amendment Fee: Court fee for nomination application was fixed at Tk 5 in 2008. It will be increased to 10 rupees. The notice issued from the notice will be increased to Tk 50 from the two taka. The record revision fee will be increased from Tk 200 to 500 rupees. It has been proposed to set a copy of mutation for every copy from Tk 43 to Tk 60.
The sale price of different maps: The price of the mouza printed in 2008 is fixed at 350 rupees and photocopy of 300 rupees. It will be set to 500 and 400. Apart from this, printed districts and thanas maps 500 to 700, maps of printed and colorful Bangladesh have been set from 1,250 to 1, 500 and Khatian 60 to 100 Taka.
